Adaeze "Ada" Idakwo,
Perinatal Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Hi, I'm Ada. I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Perinatal Mental Health Certified clinician, and Certified Maternal Newborn Nurse. More importantly, I'm a wife, a mother of six, and someone who truly understands that while motherhood can be one of life's greatest blessings, it can also be one of its most challenging seasons.

Nurture Nest Psychiatry was born from both my professional experience caring for mothers and newborns and my own journey through motherhood. I've cared for women experiencing pregnancy complications, traumatic births, NICU stays, pregnancy and infant loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and I've also experienced the moments of exhaustion, uncertainty, and self-doubt that so many mothers quietly carry. Those experiences deepened my passion and showed me just how much women need a safe place where they can simply be themselves.

My heart is to ensure that no woman feels like she has to suffer in silence. Whether you're trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy, adjusting to life after birth, grieving a loss, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's many demands, I want you to know that you don't have to walk this journey alone. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a space where you feel seen, heard, understood, and supported. Together, we'll work toward healing, restoring your confidence, and helping you thrive—not just as a mother, but as the woman you were created to be.

Our Mission
